1993 to present

Fine Art Conservation Laboratories ( FACL, Inc.). Many important projects have been worked on over the years. The opportunity to work with a number of excellent conservators both as a conservation assistant then as a conservator was possible: Scott M. Haskins, conservator and Pres. FACL, Inc., Luisa Pari (Brescia Italy), Giancarla Zanardi (Milano Italy) Anna Frassine (Brescia, Italy) Flavia Benato (Verona Italy), Gary Alden Santa Barbara, CA), James Alkons (Sacramento, CA). Conservation projects have included important and numerous in lab projects and many important and several very complex on site mural projects. Conservation treatments have included all aspects of conservation, including the supervision of  technicians.

 

1989 - 92           

Contract work for Fine Art Conservation Laboratories (FACL, Inc.). Gilding and wood work on frames and architectural decorations. Also, painting conservation technician work.

 

1985 - 1995       

Private Practice,  Santa Barbara and Los Angeles, CA. Provided gilding and woodworking services to private and corporate clients throughout Southern California. Expertise includes the conservation and restoration of fine watergilt finishes of antique and modern surfaces.

1984 - 1987       

Gold Leaf Studios, Washington, D.C.  Duties included cleaning, consolidation, repair, carving, re-gesso, re-clay, gild repairs, tone/patina, water gilding. Projects included  frames, furniture, architectural elements, antique objects and handcrafted frames requiring water and oil gilding, feaux finishes and wood working. Projects included on-site work for federal government at Treasury and State Departments.
