inpainter for Hiawatha seven-piece mural series painted by George
Brandt in 1913 for the Chicago Public School system.
Inpainting required gesso application, color-and
glaze-matching, local varnishing.
Paper Conservator, Chicago
Conservation Center, Chicago, IL. One of two
archivists responsible for the reassembly of the Henry Crown
Family Scrapbook Series. Scrapbooks consisted of 18 separate 100-page
volumes, which included photographs, articles, and documents.
Assessed the conditions of the books with the objective of meeting
archival standards for future exhibition purposes. Conservation
required the inpainting, cleaning, and encapsulation of the
photographs; and repairs to paper, including the removal of adhesives
and inpainting. |
